Description
Isntree’s Yam Root Vegan Milk Cleanser is a gentle, all-in-one option for people who find foaming cleansers too harsh. It is a soft milky lotion made with yam root extract from Andong, Korea, plus sunflower seed oil and a list of food-inspired plant extracts. The brand describes it as a mild, low-pH cleanser (around 5.5) that loosens makeup and everyday impurities while protecting the skin barrier.
It can be used on dry skin to dissolve makeup first, then emulsified with water and rinsed away, leaving the face soft rather than squeaky. Isntree also describes the formula as vegan.
Key ingredients
- Dioscorea japonica (yam) root extract – the hero ingredient, sourced from Andong.
- Helianthus annuus (sunflower) seed oil – helps dissolve makeup.
- Mild glucoside cleansers – such as coco-glucoside and arachidyl glucoside.
- Plant extracts – including rice, oat, sweet almond, soybean, lotus root and seaweeds.
How to use
- Massage a generous amount onto dry skin until makeup and impurities loosen.
- Add a little water and continue massaging so the milk turns lighter.
- Rinse with lukewarm water, or wipe off with a cotton pad and then rinse.
Who it suits
Particularly suited to dry, sensitive and normal skin. Oily skin or heavy makeup wearers may prefer to follow it with a second, foaming cleanser.
Good to know
Size: 220 ml. Keep away from children and do not use on broken skin.
As with any new skincare product, patch-test on a small area (for example behind the ear or along the jaw) for 24–48 hours before using it on the whole face. Always check the full ingredient list on the packaging you receive, as formulas can be updated by the brand.
