Description
What it is
The Cyano Pink Spicule Serum belongs to Dr. Melaxin’s Cemenrete calcium line. Its name comes from two things you notice right away: cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12), which gives the serum its natural pink colour, and spicules, microscopic needle-shaped particles from purified marine sponge. The brand presents it as a “liquid micro-needle” serum: a leave-on treatment that gives a light tingle on application and is designed to refine the look of enlarged pores and rough texture while supporting brighter, more even-looking skin. The bottle holds 30 ml (1.01 fl oz).
Unlike a professional micro-needling session, nothing pierces the skin in a visible way and there is no downtime. Think of it as a texture-refining serum with a gentle physical action, not as a medical procedure.
Key ingredients
- Hydrolyzed sponge (spicules): tiny silica-based particles that create a light prickling sensation. The brand uses them to support surface renewal and help the other actives absorb.
- Cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12): the “pink vitamin”, chosen by the brand to revitalize a tired, dull-looking complexion.
- Niacinamide: vitamin B3, listed fourth in the formula, for the look of pores, excess oil and uneven tone.
- REBORNIC calcium complex (calcium gluconate): the signature of the Cemenrete line, which the brand links to skin resilience and renewal.
- Adenosine: a common Korean ingredient for the look of fine lines.
- Hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, glycerin and tremella mushroom extract: humectants that keep the formula hydrating rather than stripping.
- Collagen extract and hydrolyzed extensin: included for a firmer, smoother look.

How to use
- Cleanse and apply toner.
- Dispense a small amount onto your fingertips.
- Spread it gently over the face without rubbing hard. A light prickling feeling is how spicule serums normally feel.
- Pat lightly to help it absorb.
- Follow with your usual moisturizer, and with sunscreen in the morning.
If you are new to spicule products, start 2 to 3 evenings a week and increase only if your skin stays comfortable. Wash your hands after applying, and do not rub your eyes right after.
What to expect
- First uses: a tingling or prickling feel that fades within minutes. Mild, short-lived pinkness can happen.
- After a few weeks: skin that feels smoother, with a more refined look around the nose and cheeks.
- Long term: results depend on consistency and daily sunscreen; enlarged pores are partly genetic, so expectations should stay realistic.
Who it suits
This serum suits people whose main concern is texture: visible pores, a rough or bumpy feel, and a dull, uneven-looking surface. It is an option for people who want a renewal effect without a chemical acid peel. If you mainly want a rinse-off exfoliant, the Peel Shot formulas covered in our Peel Shot White Rice vs Black Rice comparison work differently.
Who should be careful
For external use only. Do not apply to broken, sunburned, freshly waxed or irritated skin, and keep it away from the eyes and lips. Avoid using it on the same night as retinoids, acid peels or other spicule products. People with very reactive skin, rosacea, eczema or active inflamed acne, and anyone using prescription topicals or who is pregnant, should check with a pharmacist, dermatologist or doctor first. Stop if burning or lasting redness occurs.
Patch test first. Apply a small amount to the inner forearm or behind the ear and wait 24 to 48 hours before using it on the face.

Frequently asked questions
Does a spicule serum really work like micro-needling?
No. Professional micro-needling creates controlled micro-channels with needles. Spicules are microscopic particles that give a much gentler surface effect. The “liquid micro-needle” name describes the feel, not a medical treatment.
Why is the serum pink?
The colour comes from cyanocobalamin, vitamin B12, which is naturally pink-red.
Can I use it every day?
Start 2 to 3 times a week. Some people tolerate daily use after a few weeks; others keep it to a few evenings a week. Your skin’s comfort is the guide.
Can I use it with retinol or acids?
Not on the same night. Alternate them, and give your skin rest nights with only moisturizer.
Is it suitable for sensitive skin?
The formula is fragrance-free, but the prickling action can bother very reactive skin. Patch test and start slowly.
