Dr. Melaxin Products: The Full Range Explained

Dr. Melaxin is best known in Canada for the Peel Shot and the calcium balm sticks, but the brand’s range is much wider. Retailers in Canada and the US now list more than 25 products. This guide groups them into product families so you can understand what each line is for and where to start.

Product descriptions below are based on how the brand and its retailers present each line. Formulas can differ between markets and batches, so always read the full ingredient list on your package.

1. Peel Shot: exfoliating line

The line that made the brand famous. Peel Shot products are exfoliating treatments used a few times a week, not every day.

  • Peel Shot Exfoliating White Rice Ampoule: positioned for smoothness and a brighter-looking finish.
  • Peel Shot Exfoliating Black Rice Ampoule: positioned as a revitalizing option.
  • Peel Shot Exfoliating Kojic Acid Turmeric Spray and Serum: spray and serum formats built around kojic acid and turmeric, often used on the body as well as the face.
  • Peel Shot Exfoliating TX-Spray and TX-Serum: versions in the brand’s TX (brightening) family.

Compare the two ampoules in White Rice vs Black Rice.

2. Calcium and Cemenrete: volume line

The calcium family is built around the idea of a plumper, more cushioned look. Some markets use the name Cemenrete, others simply Calcium.

  • Calcium Volume Multi Balm (Cemenrete Calcium Multi Balm): a balm stick swiped over dry or tired-looking areas. See our multi balm stick guide.
  • Calcium CX Volume Multi Balm: a second balm stick in the family.
  • Calcium Volume Cream and Calcium Volume Serum: face cream and serum versions of the same idea.
  • Calcium Volume Eye Patch: under-eye patches. These are eye-care patches, not pimple patches.
  • Calcium Dark Spot Cover Eye Cream: an eye cream aimed at the look of darkness under the eyes.

3. TX: brightening line

TX products target the look of dark spots and uneven tone.

  • TX-Cream and TX Ampoule: the core brightening cream and ampoule.
  • TX-Astaxanthin Anti-Dark Spot & Brightening Capsule Cream and TX-Astaxanthin Brightening Serum Mask.
  • TX Retinalsome Double Effect Eye Cream: an eye cream in the TX family.
  • TX-Serum Cleanser: a cleanser in the same line.

For other brightening options, see our guide to Korean serums for dark spots.

4. The ‘phalt’ creams: targeted firming creams

The brand’s construction-themed names continue here, inspired by asphalt.

  • Eyephalt Eyebag Cream: for the under-eye area. Read our Eyephalt guide.
  • Facephalt Tightening Cream: a face cream positioned for a firmer look.
  • Necksphalt ECM Ceramide Neck Cream and Necklinephalt Neck Cream: neck creams.

5. CACTOX: pore line

  • CACTOX Pore Relief Multi Balm and CACTOX Pore Relief Dual Capsule Cream: products aimed at the look of pores and oiliness.

For a full routine around pores, read Korean skincare for oily skin and large pores.

6. Spicule and Bio-Spicule products

  • Cyano Pink Spicule Cream and Serum: products using spicules, tiny needle-like particles that give a tingling sensation.
  • Bio-Spicule BP Pore Ampoule, Cleansing Foam and Barrier Cream: a pore-focused spicule line.
  • BP Spicule Plumping Lip Shot: a lip product. Spicule products can tingle; start slowly and avoid irritated skin.

7. Hydration and other products

  • Aqua Ion Plasma Hydrating Gel Cream and Water Glow Ampoule: hydration-focused products.
  • Picotonic Shot Pigmentation Cream: another option for the look of pigmentation.

Does Dr. Melaxin make pimple patches?

‘Dr. Melaxin pimple patch’ is a popular search. In the retailer listings we checked in Canada and the US, the only patch we could confirm was the Calcium Volume Eye Patch, which is an under-eye product. If you see ‘Dr. Melaxin’ acne patches, check the brand name and seller carefully, as similar names are sometimes used by other brands.

FAQ

Is Dr. Melaxin suitable for sensitive skin?

Some products, like the exfoliating Peel Shot and spicule products, can be too strong for very sensitive skin. Patch test first and introduce one product at a time.

Can I use Peel Shot with the TX line?

Avoid using several exfoliating or strong brightening products on the same evening. Alternate them and wear sunscreen daily.

Why are product names different between countries?

Brands often rename or repackage products by market, for example Cemenrete versus Calcium. Check the ingredient list and size to compare.
