Description
What it is
The Glow Rice Toner is the daily, leave-on companion of Dr. Melaxin’s Peel Shot line. Where the Peel Shot ampoules are rinse-off peeling gels used a few times a week, this toner is meant for every morning and evening, right after cleansing. It has a milky white texture that feels nourishing but leaves no sticky film, and it is built around rice, the classic ingredient of Korean brightening care. The brand describes it as hydrating, skin-refining and barrier-supporting, with a liposome oil that helps the formula feel comfortable on dry skin. The bottle holds 200 ml (6.76 fl oz). It is not an exfoliating toner: there are no peeling acids in the list.
Key ingredients
- Rice bran water, rice extract and rice amino acids: the rice trio behind the soft, even-looking “glow” the line is known for.
- Plant ceramides (glycosphingolipids): barrier lipids that help keep moisture in.
- Niacinamide: vitamin B3, high in the list, for a more even-looking tone and barrier support.
- Panthenol and betaine: soothing and moisture-binding ingredients for tight, dehydrated skin.
- Triple hyaluronic acid: hyaluronic acid, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid and sodium hyaluronate.
- Galactomyces and radish root ferments: fermented ingredients popular in Korean “first essence” formulas.
- Adenosine: a common Korean ingredient for the look of fine lines.

How to use
- After cleansing, pour an appropriate amount into your palms or onto a cotton pad.
- Pat it onto the face, or sweep it gently along the skin’s texture with the pad.
- For extra hydration, repeat in thin layers (the Korean “7-skin” method) instead of one heavy layer.
- Follow with serum and moisturizer, and sunscreen in the morning.
Tip: on Peel Shot nights, use the toner right after rinsing off the peeling gel. Its ceramides and panthenol help the skin feel comfortable again.
Who it suits
The Glow Rice Toner suits people who want a hydrating, gentle toner rather than an exfoliating one: dull or dehydrated skin, normal to dry types, and anyone who likes a milky texture in winter. It is also a logical partner for the rinse-off peels; see our Peel Shot White Rice vs Black Rice comparison to choose the peel that goes with it.
Who should be careful
For external use only. Keep it away from the eyes and stop if irritation occurs. The formula contains a small amount of silicone (diphenyl dimethicone) and rich esters, so very oily, congestion-prone skin may prefer a lighter watery toner. People with a known allergy to rice or to fermented ingredients should check the box before use.
Patch test first. Apply a small amount to the inner forearm or behind the ear and wait 24 to 48 hours before using it on the face.

Frequently asked questions
Is it an exfoliating toner?
No. Despite the Peel Shot name, this toner contains no AHA, BHA or PHA. It is a hydrating, glow-focused toner for daily use.
Why is it milky?
The milky look comes from its emollients and lecithin-based liposome system, which give a richer, more nourishing feel than a watery toner.
Can I use it with the Peel Shot ampoules?
Yes, that is what it is designed for: peel with the White Rice or Black Rice ampoule a few times a week, and use the toner every day.
Is it good for oily skin?
It can work, especially in winter, but very oily skin may prefer a lighter watery toner in summer.
