Description
What it is
The Calcium Bonding Eye Cream is one of Dr. Melaxin’s newer eye products. Where the brand’s Cemenrete Dark Spot Eye Cream focuses on brightness with a light tint, this one is built for firmness and elasticity: it pairs the brand’s REBORNIC calcium complex with a five-peptide blend, collagen and elastin. The brand describes its idea as “calcium bonding”, restoring the calcium balance of the delicate eye area so it looks firmer, smoother and less puffy. The cream has a soft lilac colour, comes in a 15 g (0.51 fl oz) tube and is applied morning and night. On Amazon.ca it is listed as a firming eye cream with calcium.
Key ingredients
- REBORNIC calcium complex: calcium gluconate, magnesium gluconate, potassium magnesium aspartate and sodium glycerophosphate, the mineral blend the brand uses across its calcium lines.
- Five peptides: acetyl hexapeptide-8, copper tripeptide-1, palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, oligopeptide-29 and oligopeptide-32, included for the look of expression lines and firmness.
- Hydrolyzed collagen and hydrolyzed elastin: for a bouncier, more elastic look.
- Ten forms of hyaluronic acid: layered hydration, from large molecules that sit on the surface to smaller, crosslinked and silanol forms.
- Niacinamide and adenosine: for a brighter-looking under-eye area and the look of wrinkles.
- Squalane and coconut oil: emollients that support the skin barrier and give a comfortable, cushiony feel.
- Cyanocobalamin (vitamin B12) and lavender extract: give the cream its colour; the brand includes lavender for a plump, moisturized look.

How it compares
Dr. Melaxin now offers several eye products. The Cemenrete Calcium Dark Spot Eye Cream is lighter and slightly tinted for dark circles; the Calcium Intense Cream is richer and focused on hollows and volume; the Calcium Volume Eye Patch is a 20-minute boost. The Calcium Bonding Eye Cream sits between them as a daily firming cream with the most peptides. Our guide Which Dr. Melaxin eye product should you choose? compares them by concern.
Who should be careful
For external use only. Avoid direct contact with the eyes and the lash line, and stop if irritation occurs. The formula contains parfum, lavender extract, coconut oil and sweet almond fruit extract, which matters if you have a fragrance, nut or plant-related skin allergy or eczema around the eyes. Sudden swelling or darkening around one eye is a reason to see a doctor.
Patch test first. Apply a small amount behind the ear or on the inner forearm and wait 24 to 48 hours before using it around the eyes.

Frequently asked questions
What does “calcium bonding” mean?
It is the brand’s name for its approach: using calcium and magnesium salts with peptides to support the look of firm, resilient skin around the eyes. Read What is REBORNIC calcium? for what these ingredients can and cannot do.
Is it tinted?
The cream itself has a lilac colour from vitamin B12, but it is not a cover or concealer product. For a tone-correcting effect, the Cemenrete Dark Spot Eye Cream is the brand’s tinted option.
Will it remove eye bags?
No cream removes eye bags caused by fat pads or genetics. It can make the area look smoother and less puffy, especially with regular use and good sleep.
Can I use it with retinol?
Yes. Use your retinol at night on the face, keep it away from the eye area unless it is made for it, and apply this cream around the eyes.
