Description
What it is
The No.3 Super Glowing Essence Toner is numbuzin’s best-known product and the centre of its fermentation-focused No.3 line. It sits between a toner and an essence: thin enough to apply with a cotton pad, yet with a slightly silky feel that adds hydration on its own. The brand highlights that it contains around 50 fermented ingredients, from rice, soybean and barley ferments to bifida and galactomyces-type ferments, combined with niacinamide and sodium hyaluronate.
numbuzin positions it as a step that preps and hydrates the skin while supporting a brighter tone, a more refined texture and a tighter look to pores. The standard size is 200 ml, and a larger 300 ml bottle is also sold in some markets.
Key ingredients
- Fermented ingredient complex: dozens of ferments, including rice, soybean, barley, ginseng and bifida ferments, used for hydration, radiance and a smoother feel.
- Niacinamide: vitamin B3, for a brighter, more even-looking tone and support for the skin barrier.
- Spiraea Ulmaria (Meadowsweet) Extract: a botanical often used in formulas aimed at the look of pores and oiliness.
- Sodium Hyaluronate: a humectant that helps skin hold onto water.
- Betaine and Glycerin: moisturizing agents that keep the toner comfortable on the skin.
- Adenosine: included for the look of smoother skin.

- Sweep the pad gently over the face, or press the toner in with your hands.

Tip: for a quick boost of hydration, apply a second layer with your hands after the first cotton-pad pass, a technique often used in Korean routines.
Who it suits
This essence toner suits people who want one step that both preps the skin and adds hydration, and who are drawn to fermented ingredients for glow and texture. It fits well in combination and oily routines because it is light. If you are new to essences and toners, our beginner routine guide explains the order. Follow it with numbuzin No.3 Skin Softening Serum for the full No.3 routine.
Who should be careful
The formula contains geranium flower oil plus geraniol and citronellol, which are recognized fragrance allergens, so very sensitive or fragrance-allergic skin should be cautious. It also lists milk-derived ferments, so it is not vegan. With around 50 ferments, it is hard to identify the cause if a reaction happens, which makes slow introduction sensible.
Patch test first. Apply a small amount to the inner forearm or behind the ear and wait 24 to 48 hours before using it on the face.

Frequently asked questions
Is the No.3 Super Glowing Essence Toner a toner or an essence?
Both. It is thin enough to use like a toner, but it carries the hydrating and fermented ingredients you would expect from an essence, so many people use it as their only prep step.
Can I use it every day?
Yes. It contains no exfoliating acids, so it is designed for morning and evening use.
Does it have fragrance?
It has no listed perfume, but geranium flower oil and fragrance allergens such as geraniol and citronellol are on the ingredient list, so it is not fragrance-free.
Is it good for oily skin?
Its light texture and niacinamide make it a common choice for oily and combination skin, and the brand markets it for the look of pores.
