Description
What it is
The No.9 line is numbuzin’s anti-aging range, and the NAD+ BIO Lifting-sil Essence is its headline product. The 50 ml essence has a silky, stretchy texture that the brand compares to elastic threads, which is where the lifting-sil name comes from. numbuzin says it contains over 50 types of peptides together with NAD+ (nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide), a coenzyme that has become a popular talking point in skincare.
The brand presents it as an essence that helps skin look lifted and firmer and improves the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and it cites its own clinical testing on wrinkles and elasticity. The ingredient list also includes niacinamide, sodium hyaluronate, shea butter, cholesterol, glutathione and antioxidants such as resveratrol, astaxanthin and tocopherol. Despite the essence label, it sits on the skin more like a light, cushiony serum-cream.
Key ingredients
- Peptide complex: dozens of peptides, including palmitoyl tripeptide-5, acetyl hexapeptide-8, palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 and copper tripeptide-1, used for the look of firmer, smoother skin.
- Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+): a coenzyme the brand links to skin renewal; topical evidence is still limited.
- Niacinamide: vitamin B3, for barrier support and a more even-looking tone.
- Sodium Hyaluronate and Glycerin: humectants for plump-looking hydration.
- Shea Butter and Cholesterol: emollients that cushion and support the skin barrier.
- Resveratrol, Astaxanthin and Tocopherol: antioxidants that help protect against environmental stress.

How to use
- After cleansing and toning, take a small amount of essence.
- Apply it all over the face.
- Add a second, thin layer to areas prone to wrinkles, such as smile lines, frown lines and the forehead.
- Massage gently until absorbed, then follow with moisturizer.
Tip: use upward strokes along the jaw and cheeks when massaging; it will not lift skin by itself, but it makes the application step pleasant and even.
Who it suits
This essence suits people in their thirties and beyond who want a peptide-focused step for fine lines and firmness, and anyone with dry or mature skin who likes a cushiony texture. It also pairs well with eye-area care; see our best Korean eye creams for the delicate under-eye zone.
Who should be careful
With more than 100 ingredients, it is hard to pinpoint the cause if your skin reacts, so introduce it on its own first. Very oily or breakout-prone skin may find the shea butter and emollients too rich. The formula includes chlorhexidine digluconate, a preservative that occasionally causes allergies, and red clover extract. Anyone with a confirmed shea allergy should avoid it.
Patch test first. Apply a small amount to the inner forearm or behind the ear and wait 24 to 48 hours before using it on the face.

Frequently asked questions
What does NAD+ do in skincare?
NAD+ is a coenzyme involved in cellular energy. Brands link it to skin renewal, but research on applying it to the skin is still early, so the peptides, niacinamide and hydrators likely do most of the visible work.
Is it an essence or a serum?
numbuzin calls it an essence, but its silky, slightly elastic texture feels closer to a light serum or gel-cream. Use it after toner and before moisturizer.
Can I use it with retinol?
Yes. Peptides and retinoids are commonly combined. Apply the essence first and your retinol product afterward on alternate nights if your skin is sensitive.
Can it replace a moisturizer?
On oily or combination skin it can feel sufficient in summer. Dry skin will usually still want a moisturizer on top.
