Description
What it is
The 30 Days Miracle Serum is the treatment step of Some By Mi’s best-known line. Unlike the watery toner, this serum has an oil-rich base: caprylic/capric triglyceride and plant oils come first, followed by centella asiatica extract at a stated 14.51% and tea tree leaf water at 10,000 ppm. Retailers describe it as a two-layer formula that balances oil and moisture.
Small amounts of AHAs (glycolic, lactic, malic, citric and tartaric acids), a PHA (lactobionic acid) and wintergreen extract (a natural salicylate) are included, along with a long list of plant extracts. The brand presents it as a way to calm troubled skin and support a regular-looking renewal cycle, with pH around 5.5 according to retailers.
Key ingredients
- Centella asiatica extract (14.51%): the soothing botanical behind much of the line, used to calm breakout-prone skin
- Melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) leaf water (10,000 ppm): included for a clarifying effect on blemish-prone skin
- Glycolic, lactic, malic and citric acids: AHAs at very low levels, designed to support gentle surface renewal
- Lactobionic acid and wintergreen leaf extract: a PHA and a natural BHA source added in small amounts
- Niacinamide: vitamin B3, supporting a more even-looking complexion
- Plant oils (olive, camellia, rice bran, rosehip, meadowfoam): emollients meant to limit moisture loss and soften skin

How to use
- Cleanse and apply toner, ideally the Miracle Toner.
- If the layers have separated, gently shake the bottle to mix them.
- Apply a few drops to the face and spread evenly.
- Pat until absorbed, then follow with moisturizer.
- Use sunscreen during the day.
Because the base is oil-rich, a little goes a long way. Two or three drops are usually enough for the whole face.
Who it suits
It suits combination and breakout-prone skin that also feels dehydrated, since it calms and softens at the same time. The brand recommends pairing it with the Miracle Toner. Our Korean skincare routine for beginners explains how to layer toner and serum.
Who should be careful
The formula contains alcohol, several essential oils (grapefruit, orange peel, geranium, frankincense, amyris) and sweet almond oil, so people with fragrance sensitivity, a tree nut allergy or very reactive skin should be careful. Its oil content may be too heavy for very oily or fungal-acne-prone skin. Stop if it stings persistently.
Patch test first. Apply a small amount to the inner forearm or behind the ear and wait 24 to 48 hours before using it on the face.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to shake the Some By Mi Miracle Serum?
Retailers describe it as a two-layer formula. If you see separation in the bottle, a gentle shake before use helps mix the oil and water phases.
Is the Miracle Serum an exfoliating serum?
It contains AHAs, a PHA and a natural salicylate, but in tiny amounts. Its main actives by volume are centella and tea tree water, so it acts more as a calming serum.
Can I use the toner, serum and cream together?
Yes, the brand designed them as a routine. If your skin is sensitive, introduce one product at a time over a few weeks.
Is it suitable for oily skin?
It can work for combination skin, but the oil-rich base may feel heavy on very oily skin, especially in summer.
